VALIANT HUMOR (1) was well in the market on debut last time out and ran well but found a couple better over 6f at Fairgrounds (Dirt). Leading player with plenty of improvement in store. MODUS BESTIA (12) has started twice, running a good second on debut then finishing sixth, beaten 20 lengths, last time over 1m1/2f at Santa Anita (Dirt). Will be handy in transit despite the tricky draw. Worth another chance. FACT (2) is a nicely bred three-year-old gelding on debut. By Instagrand from Bazinga Baby who has produced a winner at stakes level. Importantly has a nice gate and should be about the money. SINISTER SMILE (11) ran below expectations last start, finishing ninth and beaten 8 lengths at Turfway Park (Synthetic) over 1m. Deserves another chance.
