SIMPLY EXCELS (1) hit the frame two starts ago at Eagle Farm but ran below par last time when seventh and beaten 3. 5 lengths over 5½f at this track after being prominent at the corner. This is a nice drop in grade so he is set to turn things around. BOOYA BOY (10) led all the way to score as favourite on debut over 5f at Ballina two weeks ago. Looks promising and can measure up again. VIALE (8) was in the money at each run this time in before scoring over 5½f at Toowoomba last time.
