TAREX (1) finished 11th two runs back at Gatton then improved last time out to score by a nose after being in the firing line on the corner over 1m2 1/4f at Doomben. Has the ability to score again. NIPPA'S NIGHTCAP (5) wound up strongly last time out to finish 0.7 lengths adrift in third over 1m2 1/4f at Doomben. Backmarker who keeps coming. Will be tough to hold out. DEMARCAY (6) is coming off a determined win last start over 1m3f at this track two weeks ago. Nice weight drop so another bold run looks likely. JUNGLE JET (3) turned in a better run last start, beaten 2 lengths into fifth over 1m2 1/4f at Doomben. Has his share of ability and is a top-three prospect.
