AMALGAMATION (3) finished fourth two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by one length over 1m3 1/4f at Gold Coast. No reason he cannot salute again. GANDOLFINI (6) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by 3.5 lengths over 1m2 1/2f at Tuncurry. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. DARK THINKER (5) is yet to find the winners' list this time in work but has two placings from four starts this prep, finishing 1.5 lengths away in third most recently over 1m2 1/2f at Lismore. One of the contenders. NATURE BOY (1) was beaten 13 lengths into eighth in a 1m1 1/2f contest at Armidale last time out. No surprise to see him in contention.
