NIKAU SPUR (1) has been safely held in tougher company at his last two runs, the latest in stakes class when ninth in the LR Ipswich Cup. Forgive recent form in better races. Set to bounce back this time. COUP DE TONNERRE (12) started favourite last time over 1m2 1/4f at Doomben but could only manage fourth. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Can win this without surprising. TWO SMOKIN BARRELS (8) turned things around last start and scored by half a length after being in the firing line on the turn over 1m2f at Murwillumbah. Looks well placed so expect another big run. SIX FOOT SONG (7) scored last start at Tamworth to make it two wins from four starts this campaign. Settles back early but winds up late. Will be doing his best work late.
