HAWKER HALL (1) was far from disgraced when third last start after being in contention on the bend over 5½f at Rosehill, beaten a long neck. That followed a win at Gold Coast the start prior. Likely improver with strong prospects. NIGHT AGENT (12) turned in a modest performance when tenth last start over 6f at Flemington, beaten 4 lengths. That followed a good when resuming win at Port Macquarie. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is a leading player. CLANCY (7) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 7f at Rosehill, beaten 1. 2 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. SHAGGY (3) is due to win after just missing last time over 5½f at Randwick, finishing just half a length from the winner in second. In-form three-year-old gelding so a forward showing is expected.
