POMPATUS (2) didn't do a bad job to finish a head away in second last start over 7½f at Kembla Grange. That followed a when resuming win at Newcastle. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot make amends. OUI FLOURISH (6) wound up strongly last time out to finish half a length adrift in third over 6¾f at Wyong. Blinkers added so the stable might have her peaking. PAPPA BLUE (7) accounted for a maiden field over 7f at Scone last start, finishing one length ahead of the nearest rival. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. One of the likely contenders despite the step up in grade. THE WARRIOR (4) is ticking along okay with two runs this time in. Improved last time out when second, beaten a nose, at Wyong over 6¾f. Should camp just off the leaders. Deserves respect on best figures.
