FLY FIFER (3) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fourth, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 6½f at Sunshine Coast after she was prominent at the turn. Will strip fitter and is all set to find winning form. CALYX ROSE (5) finished seventh last start over 7f at Newcastle after racing on the pace for much of the way. Will be handy in the run and should prove hard to run down. MAGIC ISLAND (7) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a ninth over 6f at Eagle Farm. Faces an easier assignment so she is set to turn things around. LONE FORCE (1) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 7f at Sunshine Coast after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort.
