JUNGLE PRINCE (1) was well fancied but below his best at the last run before a break on June 26 finishing 13th over 1m2 1/4f at Doomben. Starts this prep with Michael Cahill taking charge. Will find this easier than last start. Among the leading chances in this company. BRECHEN (5) was far from disgraced when second last start over 5¾f at Gold Coast Poly, beaten 2.25 lengths. That followed a win at Gold Coast Poly the start prior. Nicely placed to return to winning form. TUQIRI (8) returned from a lay-off a week-and-a-half ago when he was beaten 5.5 lengths into tenth over 6¾f at Doomben. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. ELLRO (12) finished second last start over 7f at Grafton, beaten half a length. Will benefit from that outing. Placed to advantage so expect another bold run.
