BUTTERNUT PRINCESS (10) has a moderate winning strike-rate but impressed when returning from a break last time at Cranbourne, finishing fourth and only 1. 5 lengths from the winner at the end of 6f when she worked home well. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. TARZING (7) drifted back then closed strongly to score on debut over 6½f at Seymour two-and-a-half weeks ago. Has plenty of upside and can win again. GODTFRED KIRK (8) is back from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Closed last prep with a third, beaten 5. 5 lengths, over 1m at Moonee Valley. Looks ready to run a big race following two recent trials. A bold showing is expected. ATTAIN (4) will find this a little easier after missing the frame in town last time, finishing ninth over 7f at Sandown-Lakeside. Can sneak into the finish on best form.
