TOREADOR (8) resumes from a lay-off of nine months after closing off last campaign with three consecutive minor placings. Blinkers come off. Looks hard to beat. VERSION (11) was in the money two starts back at Gold Coast Poly then missed the frame but was not too far away last time over 6f at Toowoomba. The blinkers go on. Not far off a win and rates highly on her best form. BRING ME SAKI (1) was well fancied when resuming but found a couple better at Ballina, finishing 2 lengths adrift at the end of 5f. Looks well placed stepping out in trip. Among the chances. TWILIGHT STEPS (4) could only manage seventh two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 7½f at Kilcoy, beaten 0.6 lengths. Nicely placed to maintain the form.
