ANGELIC BOOM (7) is back from a lay-off of six months. Closed last prep with a third, beaten a head, over 4f at Ipswich. Best form puts her right in this. THE LOUVRE (6) impressed when successful on debut over 4f65yards at this track 11 weeks ago and has not been produced since. Has plenty of upside and should go on with it. SPARTUS (4) started at 15/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 2.75 lengths at Ipswich over 5½f after being in contention on the corner. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. JACKA STANDS ALONE (3) resumes after a break of four-and-a-half months. Hoping for a repeat of his debut win over 5f at Toowoomba to kick off last prep. Placed in a recent trial. Makes plenty of appeal.
