CHALICE WELL (5) finished off last campaign with a seventh over 5½f at Kyneton on December 12 and has since switched trainers. Goes well when fresh with a win and one minor placings from three starts. Expected to be in the finish. MORGANITE (9) started at 3/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 7 lengths at Toowoomba over 5f. Hard to beat in this suitable race. BOOMI'S BUDDY (1) was in the firing line on the bend and finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at Kilcoy, beaten one length. Will benefit from that outing. In the right race and is one of the better hopes.
