GATSBY'S (2) drifted well back when resuming last start before winding up strongly to finish third, beaten 2 lengths, over 6f in the G3 Eskimo Prince Stakes at Randwick. Will find this much easier. Expected to be in the finish. ODINSON (1) showed good early dash when resuming last start and held on well to finish 1.3 lengths back in second over 5½f at Caulfield Heath. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. CERTAIN RISE (11) produced a fair effort when resuming from a lay-off last start, beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth over 5½f in the G3 Peter Le Grand Stakes at Caulfield. Takes on much easier opposition this time. Should be involved in the finish. RESERVE BANK (7) is a progressive galloper who is when resuming since finishing fifth over 6f in the LR Mercedes Benz (Gothic Stakes) at Caulfield four-and-a-half months ago. Fitter for two subsequent trials, including a win. Unbeaten in two starts when fresh. Luke Currie who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Can play a role in the finish.
