BAND OF BROTHERS (4) is a talented gelding who tackled tougher grade last time, finishing 5 lengths behind Rey Magnerio over 5½f in the G2 Rubiton Stakes at Caulfield. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will play a major role. MIDWEST (2) started at 5/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 3.5 lengths at Randwick over 5f after being in contention on the corner. Hard to beat in this suitable race. BOSSY NIC (3) drifted well back last start before storming home to score by 0.8 lengths over 6f at this track. Among the chances again. FASUTO (5) is back from a lay-off of nine months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 5f at Mornington. Ran fourth in a trial at Cranbourne over 4f recently. Solid top-three hope.
