AVONE (5) sat just off the speed and fought on well to finish third when resuming last start at this course and distance. Has a solid record at the second run in. Expected to be hard to stop. MIGHTY (8) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 1.2 lengths when fifth in a 5f contest at this track two weeks ago after being in the firing line on the turn. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. ACTION KING (16) was thereabouts last time out when second at Ipswich over 5½f, beaten a nose. Cherry-ripe now. Has been in super form this time in work, finishing in the money at each of his four starts. Expected to be competitive. ARISPHERE (10) turned in an encouraging run when resuming, settling well back then winding up nicely to finish fourth over 5f at Gold Coast. Well placed and is among the chances.
