COUP DE TONNERRE (6) turned things around last start and got the job done by a head after being prominent at the corner over 1m3 1/4f at this track. Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to figure in the finish. TOP BOY (8) built on a nice third two starts back at Toowoomba with success as favourite over 1m2f at Gatton three weeks ago, getting home by a head. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to score again. LIKEABEEL (9) was thereabouts last time out when second at this track over 1m3 1/4f, beaten a head. Is in solid form this time in work, scoring two times and placing on two occasions from six starts. One of the main contenders. LATELY (5) settled well back but hit the line well to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1m1f here last time. Outdashed but got home well and appears suited by the longer journey. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
