SCORSESE (1) returns from a break of five months. Genuine performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a ninth over 5½f at Flemington. Rates highly and a bold showing is expected. STAR DIESEL (4) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on August 7 finishing fourth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 7¾f at Canterbury. Now under the care of new trainer Toby Lake. Should be hard to stop. KIKUSUI (7) finished fourth when when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Mortlake after racing on the pace for much of the way. Will give backers a sight. MISSED THE MARK (3) did well to score two runs ago then turned in a nice run last time out when fourth over 5f at Seymour, beaten 2.25 lengths. In the mix.
