LA NARRADORA (8) led early and was still in the firing line on the turn last start before tiring to finish fourth over 6½f at Mortlake. Among the top chances in what looks a most suitable race. LUDO (2) is yet to break through in 37 runs. Finished 11th at his last appearance over 4½f at Murray Bridge on November 13. This looks a nice race so expect him to be right in the finish. SILKY SMOOTH (9) was well fancied on debut last start and was not far off the mark, finishing third and beaten 3 lengths over 5½f at St Arnaud. Has ability and must be respected. RIPLOCH (3) was handy in the run last time out before fading late to finish 6 lengths away in ninth over this trip at Echuca. Top-three chance.
