Meets some better types this time but another big run is on the cards. RIMBAUD (11) kicked off this campaign with a win two runs ago. Less impressive last time out when second over 6f at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. SPIRIT OF MAC (4) is a talented colt who tackled a tougher race at his last run on December 16 and finished seventh behind Abounding over 6f in the LR Gold Edition Plate at Eagle Farm. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. One to consider. THE INFLICTOR (5) ran a bold race over this journey last start, racing on the pace and sticking on strongly to finish 2.25 lengths away in third at Sunshine Coast. Meets some better types this time but he has the ability to test this field.
