STEEL KING (5) turned in an eye-catching run over 5½f at this track when resuming last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish third. Improvement to come and the addition of blinkers is a positive sign. LADY LUCIFER (11) turned in a solid run on debut last start, beaten 1.75 lengths into second at Sunshine Coast over 5f. Drawn out but she shouldn't be a maiden for long. ADDITION (6) resumes from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 7f at Eagle Farm. Placed in a recent trial. Has ability and is a leading player. WINNING EDITION (12) finished third when resuming at Ipswich then couldn't repeat the dose last time when fifth at Eagle Farm over 6f when beaten 4.5 lengths. Has ability and rates among the chances.
