COUNT IDA (2) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing second and beaten only 2 lengths over 6½f at Wangaratta after being in the firing line on the corner. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is ready to return to the winners' list. HAATHER (8) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when tenth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 6f at Ballarat Synthetic after he travelled towards the rear of the field. Should be peaking now and is expected to do much better. HIDDEN WITNESS (9) finished out of the money two starts back then she settled well back and was beaten 3 lengths when seventh over 6f at Ballarat Synthetic a week-and-a-half ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. QUIZLET (4) failed to live up to market expectations last start when out of the placings over 7f at Echuca, beaten 8 lengths. This is a nice drop in grade so he is a major player.
