Race Tip

RIPPER (2) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when 12th over 6½f at Swan Hill. First try at the trip but he strips fitter and is ready to win. SILENT THUNDER (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Casterton, beaten 7 lengths into seventh. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is one of the main contenders. BOW RIBBON (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he got a long way back over 7f at Pakenham Synthetic, beaten 7 lengths into eighth. Faces an easier assignment so he is likely to play a big role. CHESAPEAKE BABE (5) was unplaced two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Wangaratta, beaten 5.5 lengths into 12th. Capable of featuring prominently.
