SACRED BULL (2) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m2f at Ballarat, beaten only 1.4 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. AUSSIE NATION (6) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at Sandown-Hillside but couldn't back it up last start when ninth, beaten 8 lengths, over 1m2 1/2f at Sandown-Lakeside. Has the ability to put the recent run behind him. TO BE FRANK (3) finished 5.5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m at Pakenham when resuming from a lay-off. Steps up in distance. Leading hope. PURE POWER (8) got off the mark over 1m3 1/4f at Geelong last start, scoring by 0.8 lengths. Theodore Ladd was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated.
