MISTER SELFIE (11) returns from a layoff of seven months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 6f at Doomben. Now under the care of new trainer Philip Minter. One of the genuine hopes in the race. GALEKA (9) finished fifth when resuming two runs back then progressed nicely last time out to score by a nose over 6f at Thangool. Likely to be there at the finish again. NEW YORK GAL (6) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fifth over 6½f at Toowoomba. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. JUST LET IT OUT (10) failed to threaten when fresh from a lay-off last time out, beaten 6 lengths into eighth over 6f at Eagle Farm. Should do much better.
