HAARACAINE (2) did his best work late and finished 4 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 1m1/2f at this track, an improvement on his ninth at Moonee Valley the run before. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. NEARING LIBERTY (8) lines up on the back of a 3 length fourth over 1m2f at Flemington. Serious contender.
