VERBIL (5) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 6½f at Randwick. Wide draw and will need a good steer from Braith Nock. Finds an easier assignment and can take the next step and salute. NAILS MURPHY (1) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start when he worked home well but found one better over 7½f at Rosehill, beaten 2 lengths. Likely improver with strong prospects. RONNY ROCK ART (9) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just six times from 79 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 7f at Hawkesbury, beaten 4 lengths. Facing a tougher assignment but he is worth serious consideration. DEBELLO (3) was safely held when sixth last time out over 7½f at Randwick, beaten 4 lengths, after a win at Hawkesbury at the previous outing. Worth plenty of thought.
