BLANC DE NOIR (2) ran well on debut last start to finish third over 5f at Hawkesbury in a tougher race. Aided by the rails draw so she should be in the finish again. VANESSI (1) finished second, beaten a long neck, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6¼f at this track after she was in contention on the bend. In the right race and is one of the big hopes. REGIMENTAL COLOURS (9) is a two-start maiden who placed on debut then could only manage sixth last start, beaten 4.5 lengths over 5½f at this track. Strong chance this time. LIGHTLY SPARKLED (11) put the writing on the wall last time when a close second at Newcastle over 4½f. Should be nearing her peak at this stage of the campaign.
