VERY SIRIUS (10) broke through for her maiden win over 5½f at Mudgee last time, scoring comfortably. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Jumps from a nice gate and she can go on with it. WRITTEN BY LUCY (7) built on a nice second when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at this track with success as favourite over 5f at Nowra a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by 1. 3 lengths. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. GIRLS WEEKEND (6) has been freshened up since she finished seventh over 4½f at Newcastle seven weeks ago. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Will give backers a great sight. TROOPER (9) registered his first win last start over 5f at this track, getting home by 2. 5 lengths. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
