PHORONEUS (12) is a talented gelding who tackled tougher grade last time, finishing 4.5 lengths behind Holmes A Court over 6f in the G3 Black Opal Stakes at this track. This looks a more suitable assignment. UP TO ME (3) was solidly backed last time out but could only manage sixth over 7f at Nowra, beaten 7 lengths. Takes on a tougher assignment this time but should be hard to stop. MAJOR DESIRE (10) is a three-start maiden who returned last time and finished fourth at Goulburn over 6½f, beaten 2 lengths. Will take a lot from that hitout and looks a strong chance to break through. PROUD GEORGE (2) was never in contention last time over 6f at Moruya when he finished fifth, beaten 3 lengths. This looks a nice race so expect him to finish closer.
