BLOOMIN' RIPPER (5) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at this track over 4¾f. Awkwardly drawn and might need a little luck early. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. MIDAS STAR (3) was quickly into stride and went on to score by 2 lengths last time out over 5f at Cooktown. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. FAMILY STAR (2) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 3 lengths when fourth over 5f at Townsville three weeks ago. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. SATURDAY VIBES (6) finished third last time over 4¾f at this track, beaten 3. 5 lengths. Ready to go a couple better.
