VANCOUVER BAY (6) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fourth, beaten 5 lengths, over 6f at Townsville after he was in contention on the corner. Cherry-ripe now and is a great chance to break through. TYCOON BEAU (4) turned in an eye-catching run over 6f at Mt Garnet last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish second. Will be tough to hold out again. CROWNING MOMENT (3) starting to prove costly including a last start third at Gordonvale but returns to home track this time. Rates well and gets chance to break through. LIDDER VALLEY (2) was well supported when resuming last time out over 6f at Mt Garnet and proved too strong, scoring by 2.25 lengths. Will be better for that latest run and is worth following up.
