CITY OF BOULDER (3) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish second, beaten 1.1 lengths, over 6f at Townsville. Has a very good record here with two wins from four starts. Will prove tough to beat. TARIFF (4) scored narrowly over 6¾f at Mt Garnet last time out with this jockey Aidan Holt in the irons. Down in the weights this time so he is one of the main contenders. EXCITE CHOO (1) drifted well back before winding up strongly to score an effortless 3 lengths win over 6¾f at Mt Garnet last time out. Commendable record at this trip with a win and three minor placings and has solid claims.
