WHY ME (7) got off the mark over 1m at Albany last start, scoring by a nose. Serious contender again with the confidence high. HERO HUNTER (1) got the prize two runs ago at Ascot. Not as effective last time out when fourth over 6½f at this track, beaten 5 lengths. Nicely placed to return to winning form. PURE CHINO (8) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 7f at Geraldton, scoring by half a length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. This is tougher but she cannot be underestimated. MACCIATEAU (2) drifted back from his wide draw last start then hit the line hard to score by a nose at Pinjarra over 7½f. Can figure in the finish.
