ESPRIT DU JOUR (1) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Toowoomba, finishing second and only a nose from the winner at the end of 6½f after being in the firing line on the turn. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is good enough to take this out. PRIVATE SHOWTIME (11) pushed forward from a wide draw last time out and was prominent for a long way before fading to finish fifth over 7f at Sunshine Coast. Well placed and should be tough to rein in. LAMBERTINA (3) is fresh from a lay-off of four months and did hit the frame when last resuming at Gosford over 6f. In a different yard now. Fitter for a sixth in a recent trial over 4¼f at Sunshine Coast Inner Track. Has found a suitable race and is worth including.
