CHERISH THE DAY (10) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at Donald, beaten only one length after being prominent at the bend. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she deserves plenty of thought. BRANDJAM (2) is back from a lay-off of six months. Closed last prep with a 15th, beaten 10 lengths, over 5f at Flemington. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Looks to have an edge on most of these. VICTORIS (1) resumed over 5f155yards at Geelong last start and was too good for his rivals, scoring by a nose. Open to plenty of improvement and this looks well within his grasp. TURN UP THE NIGHT (6) was below his best last time, finishing sixth and beaten 3 lengths over 6f at Avoca. Well placed and should be in the mix.
