PRESERVATOR (1) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time when beaten a long neck into third over 1m at Werribee. Likely to be fighting out the finish. VEGAS ON FIRE (3) pushed forward when resuming last time and boxed on to finish 3. 5 lengths away in third over 7¼f at Kilmore. Looks well placed so expect another big run. EX MACHINA (2) last appeared five-and-a-half weeks ago over 1m at Wangaratta when he finished eighth. This is his first run for the Paul & Tracey Templeton stable. Can measure up for the new barn. MASTER POLANSKI (7) went back early from his wide draw over 7½f at Mornington last time but hit the line strongly to finish fourth. Warrants plenty of respect.
