Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish. AUREATE (3) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well when returning from a break last time at Geelong, finishing third and only 2 lengths from the winner at the end of 6½f after being prominent at the turn. Likely improver with strong prospects. AOIFE (10) finished out of the money two starts back then she was always well out of her ground and was beaten 7 lengths when sixth in a 7f contest at Bendigo a week-and-a-half ago. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. FIRST RETURN (1) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on 17/12/2024, finishing eighth and beaten 9 lengths over 6f at Bordertown. Among the better hopes.
