THE DEFENDER (3) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 1.75 lengths away in third over 5½f at Geelong when he was handy all the way. Looks well placed so expect another big run. IMMORTAL JUSTICE (8) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2.5 lengths when fifth over 5f at Warrnambool two-and-a-half weeks ago after being in the firing line on the bend. Has the ability to figure prominently. THE FOX SISTERS (10) was well in the market on debut last start but could only manage fourth at Stony Creek over 5½f. Fitter and can find the frame this time. PETROULA (9) was in the firing line on the bend and finished third last time over 6f at Edenhope, beaten 1.3 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Likely improver with solid prospects.
