ALASKAN (1) was thereabouts last time out when third at this track over 1m1f, beaten a neck. Yet to break through this time in but hasn't been far away, with four placings to his name. Should be in the finish. MYSTICAL MAN (5) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fifth over 1m2 1/2f at this track. Will drift back but is going to be hard to hold out. LONG GENES (4) finished tenth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m1f at this track, beaten only 1.5 lengths. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. STRIKING FELLA (6) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest effort a fourth beaten a neck over 1m1/2f at Bunbury. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run.
