Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. VAINSTREAM (12) is returning from a lay-off of ten weeks. Finished eighth at Canterbury over 5½f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Todd Smart. Fitter for a minor placing in a recent Canberra trial. Has ability and should be right in the finish. SMUGGLER'S BAY (5) raced on the pace to the bend before fading to finish seventh, beaten 4 lengths, over this journey at Cranbourne. One of the main contenders. SHEILA (11) produced another moderate effort last start when 6 lengths from the winner in seventh over 5f at Cranbourne. Has her share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
