Wednesday racing tips from Wincanton, Musselburgh, Lingfield and Kempton

Planet Sport's tipsters spread their top selections across four tracks around England and Scotland on Wednesday, March 1.

First up here's some detail on Wednesday's selections, you can get a full list of all the tips across all the racecourses at the bottom of the page.

Don't forget to check out the racecards, results and live odds in the Planet Sport racing live centre.

14:10 (Wincanton) Outlaw Peter

The day could get off to the perfect start for Paul Nicholls when Outlaw Peter attempts to get back to winning ways in the 40th Birthday Of The British Racing School Novices' Hurdle.

Second in the Persian War at the beginning of the season, he then opened his timber account in style at Exeter - recording a 19-length success.
Although struggling in a deep-ground Lanzarote in January, he lost little in defeat when upped to three miles at Musselburgh most recently and with good ground in his favour, he can add a second hurdling victory to his CV in a race Nicholls has won twice in the last three years.

14:40 (Wincanton) Toothless

Toothless is another who could land a blow for Nicholls in the Watch On Racing TV Novices' Hurdle, while Cap Du Mathan heads to the John Romans Park Homes Handicap Chase in rude health and could strike once again while the iron is hot.
It took the latter four attempts to open his account over the larger obstacles, but then not long at all to double his tally when upped in trip at Exeter 17 days ago. On that occasion he made all to put the well-regarded Lac De Constance to the sword in an ultra-impressive display.
On paper that appears extremely smart form and with stamina assured and the going perfect, he ticks plenty of boxes.

17:20 (Wincanton) Magic Saint

Magic Saint could cap a fine afternoon for Nicholls at Wincanton in the concluding Dick And Sue Woodhouse Memorial Hunters' Chase.

The champion trainer enjoys plenty of success at his local track and his course-winning nine-year-old attempts to give him his first win in this race since Pacha Du Polder's wide-margin success in 2016.
A five-time winner over fences, Magic Saint was rated as high as 159 at his peak but has fallen down the order and is now competing in the hunter chase sphere.
Nevertheless, he still had enough boot to go close at Hereford on soft ground recently and granted sounder conditions here, could provide Nicholls' daughter Olive with her first victory under Rules.

15:25 (Musselburgh) Lone Star

Another in red-hot form of late is Lone Star, who is backed to bring up a hat-trick in the Every Race Live On Racing TV Mares' Handicap Hurdle at Musselburgh.
Phil Kirby's six-year-old has won three of her last four and although upped to three miles when successful at Newcastle on her latest outing, appears versatile enough to handle the drop back to an intermediate distance here.

17:00 (Musselburgh) Salvatore

Course winner Salvatore could roll back the years in the Racing TV Profits Returned To Racing Open Hunters' Chase, while also making appeal north of the border is Hidalgo De L'Isle, who turned a string of seconds into a victory on handicap debut at Bangor and could have more to offer off a 7lb higher mark in the Visit racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle.

16:35 (Lingfield) Sausalito

Sausalito has notched up back-to-back victories at Chelmsford of late and now Gary Moore switches his four-year-old to Lingfield in an attempt to bring up a quick-fire hat-trick.
The application of a visor has worked wonders for the son of Frankel the last twice and is being utilised once again in what appears another very winnable heat.

17:10 (Lingfield) Big Jimbo

Do not be surprised if Moore quickly doubles up when the consistent Big Jimbo is tried over two miles in the concluding Huge Daily Boosts Only At BetUK Handicap.
