Inter Milan vs Sassuolo tips: Goals, cards and chaos at San Siro

Serie A leaders Inter Milan will aim to make it a perfect six from six when they face Sassuolo at the San Siro on Wednesday.

Current league leaders Inter Milan will face Sassuolo at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday evening.

The team at the top of the Italian league have found life tricky in their most recent home games against Sassuolo.

In the last eight games in Milan, Inter has only two wins, although they did both come in the previous three. Before that, Sassuolo were unbeaten in four meetings.

The previous four matches at Meazza have seen a total of 17 goals scored, with both teams finding the back of the net in three of those games. Inter won both games last season, 2-1 away and 4-2 at home.

After five rounds of matches, Inter Milan is the only team in Italy (and one of two in the top five European leagues, along with Manchester City) to have won all of their games.

The Champions League runners-up barely edged out bottom-of-the-table Empoli 1-0 last weekend, with Federico Dimarco scoring the only goal.

Suggested bet: Over 2.5 goals, both teams to score and over 3.5 cards

His first goal of the season, along with his four assists, makes him the defender with the most goal contributions in Europe's top five leagues this season.

Surprisingly, this is the fourth time that Inter have begun their season with five consecutive wins and they failed to win the title in each of the previous three.

Simone Inzaghi's team has already created some space between themselves and their main competitors. They are currently three points ahead of Milan, five points ahead of Juventus, and seven points ahead of Napoli.

With 14 goals scored and only one goal conceded, Inter Milan has the best offence and defence in Serie A.

Their last six home games have all been won, with a total of 21 goals scored.

Suggested bet: Over 3.5 goals

Sassuolo did not have the start to the season they had hoped for, but they are coming to Milan with high spirits after beating Juventus 4-2 at home last round.

The Neroverde team's stunning victory (only their second in Serie A this season) will give them a huge confidence boost ahead of their game against Inter.

Despite their recent win, Alessio Dionisi has cause for concern. His biggest worry is their defence, which has conceded the second most goals in the league (11), only behind bottom-of-the-table Empoli (13).

As is customary, Domenico Berardi, who has scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists against the Nerazzurri, will be Sassuolo's primary attacking threat.

The Neroverde captain will be supported in attack by former Inter player Andrea Pinamonti, who has already scored four goals this season, his best start to a Serie A campaign.
