    FIFA Club World Cup trophy

Chelsea and PSG meet in the final of the Club World Cup this Sunday evening (2000 BST) at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Can we find you some winning tips for the big match on July 13?

The cash grab cup...sorry I mean the Club World Cup, finally draws to a close this Sunday. Then everyone can go back to concentrating on more important things like the women’s Euros, watching England struggle to take Indian wickets or saying obvious things like ‘blimey, that sun’s hot’.

They were probably doing that already to be honest as it feels as though nobody, even Chelsea fans, are that bothered about a tournament that is making me feel misty-eyed about the Anglo-Italian Cup.

Empty stadiums, cut-price tickets and the red-hot weather have taken up most of the news cycle rather than the matches. Even FIFA have had to roll out their big gun, Arsene Wenger, to boringly tell everyone that the tournament hasn’t been a flop.

Still here we are, one game to go and a chance for Chelsea or PSG to throw another trophy in the cabinet and chuck some more money on top of their other piles of money. Happy days…until they start moaning that their players are tired in the New Year because they didn’t get a proper break.

PSG are the heavy favourites here and probably deserve the strange-looking AI-generated 'trophy' more given the list of big-name hurdles they’ve had to overcome to get to this point. In contrast, Chelsea have only faced one European team all tournament.

Chelsea last played PSG in 2016 when they knocked the Blues out of the Champions League in the round of 16. They did the same in 2015. This was way back when the Parisiens were a team of big names thrown together, not like Luis Enrique’s well-oiled machine of today.

Chelsea won a previous version of the Club World Cup back in 2021, and nobody remembers that. Will PSG fans remember winning it in the year they’ve also won the Champions League, Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the French Super Cup?

Here we’ve picked out some of the best bets for Chelsea v PSG, which could give you a 10/1 bet builder if stitched together. All odds are correct at time of writing.

    Chelsea v PSG tips

PSG to win to nil - 21/10

    Dembele anytime goalscorer - 6/5

    Kvaratskhelia over 1.5 shots  - 1/7

    Cucurella over 1.5 fouls - 8/11

    PSG to win to nil

PSG are in unstoppable form at the moment. They have ten wins from their last 11 competitive games, seven of these to nil.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid had no answer to PSG in the quarter and semi-finals and Chelsea could suffer the same fate.

There’s no value in a straight PSG win, so beef it up with a to nil. Chelsea have faced much weaker opposition in their journey to the finals and have only mustered an xG of 3.72.

While PSG have an xG of 7.04 from their knockout matches and have kept their opponents down to 1.66.

PSG are on the first rung of European domination ladder, they should make their mark on the world here too.

    Dembele anytime goalscorer

Ousmane Dembele has been eased back into action during the tournament as he recovered from injury and it appears to have done the trick.

He scored and assisted in his first start of the tournament against Real Madrid, adding to his goal off the bench against Bayern Munich. That’s a grand total of 34 goals in 55 games for club and country this season.

Chelsea’s defence has shipped five goals this tournament against weaker opposition than PSG, and the last time he played against the Blues he scored for Barcelona in the Champions League in 2018.

A goal in the Club World Cup final will put another massive tick in his winning the Ballon D’Or box too.

    Kvaratskhelia over 1.5 shots

PSG’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia hasn’t scored or assisted since the group stages, but he’s been trying.

He topped the shots chart against Real Madrid with five, even though he played just 59 minutes, and had three shots against Bayern and Inter Miami.

Two shots in the final might be a tad conservative.

    Cucurella over 1.5 fouls

There’s something about Marc Cucurella that makes me feel he doesn’t feel in total control. Maybe it’s that hairstyle, how does he manage on flying ant day?

I fear he’s going to be in for a rough evening with Désiré Doué and Achraf Hakimi motoring up and down his side of the pitch.

He’s committed six fouls in the last three games, and another two here is worth a shout as he’s done that 13 times already this season.
