Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid tips and predictions: Los Blancos take one more step toward La Liga title

Real Sociedad and Real Madrid will clash in round 33 in La Liga on Friday night (2000 BST) as the visitors close in on the title.

Real Madrid are 11 points in front of arch-rivals Barcelona and starting to look like runaway champions. Meanwhile, the Basque side is still fighting for their place in Europe.

They currently sit three points ahead of Real Betis and four clear of Valencia, but Imanol Aguacil’s side are the most in-form side out of the three.

Real beat Barcelona 3-2 in the El Clasico, which was mired in goal-line technology controversy as Barca were denied a clear goal, to move well clear of their rivals.

After that match, Carlo Ancelotti spoke about resting key players with one hand on the title and one eye on their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

Sociedad are undefeated in five matches but they were left disappointed when drawing 2-2 with Almeria and 1-1 with Getafe.

On the other hand, Los Blancos are without defeat in their last 17 matches across all competitions, and a whopping 26 unbeaten in La Liga.

Add to that, Aguacil’s side has recorded just one win in 10 matches on home soil, while Real are undefeated in their previous nine away matches.

In the reverse fixture, at Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid managed a 2-1 win, battling back to win after the Basque visitors opened the scoring in the 5th minute.
