Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona tips and predictions: Los Blancos to seal La Liga title with win

El Clasico will deliver a clash between the top two teams in the La Liga table, Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are separated by eight points.

Real Madrid have the lead, but a poor derby result could give Barcelona a sniff of hope. However, the Blaugrana usally struggle to win at Bernabeu, and a Champions League defeat won't have hoped their morale.

Barcelona scored early in Spain to extend their aggregate lead to 4-2, but a red card for Ronald Araujo turned the game around, allowing PSG to fight back and win 4-1 on the night.

On the other hand, Real Madrid found a way into the Champions League semi-finals. After drawing 3-3 in Madrid and 1-1 in Manchester, Real triumphed 4-3 on penalties to set up a final four clash with Bayern Munich.

In the last round in La Liga, Real managed a 1-0 win at Mallorca, after a goal scored by Aurelien Tchouameni.

 

This will be the 256th El Clasico, of which Real Madrid have won 104 and lost 100, with the remaining 52 ending all square. Los Blancos won the last league meeting, 2-1.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side ran out 4-1 winners in Saudi Arabia to lift the Spanish Super Cup in January, sealed by a first-half hat trick for Vinicius Junior.
