Monaco vs PSG tips and predictions: Parisians to extend unbeaten away run

Kylian Mbappe will pack his bags for one final trip to Monaco as they host PSG in Ligue 1 on Friday night (2000 GMT).

PSG leads the standings with 54 points from 23 rounds, while Monaco sits in third place with 41 points. Surprisingly, Brest occupies the second spot, but Monaco has them firmly in their sights.

PSG broke a three-game winless streak against Monaco with a decisive 5-2 victory when the sides met at Parc des Princes earlier this season.

At Stade Louis II, the team from the Principat have won the last three meetings, winning 3-2, 3-0 and 3-1. The Parisians’ last away win against AS Monaco was in February 2020.

In the last eight meetings played in Monte Carlo, there have been over 2.5 goals scored, with both teams scoring in five of those matches.

Kylian Mbappe never scored in this fixture as a Monaco player but he has rattled in 11 goals in 13 meetings in a PSG shirt including a penalty the last time they met.

Monaco's recent form in Ligue 1 has been inconsistent, with only two wins in their last six matches. In contrast, Paris Saint-Germain has been dominant, going undefeated in their last 18 league games, winning 14 and drawing 4.

While the hosts are still in search of a first home win of 2024, PSG are undefeated in 18 away games but interestingly, their last loss came against Monaco in February 2023.

This match pits the best two attacks in Ligue 1 against each other. PSG have scored 54 goals this season, while Monaco have registered 44.
