Championship Good Friday tips: Blackburn and Preston looking good, goals at both ends at Rotherham

Fulham celebrate winning the Championship by lifting the trophy in May 2022
Easter weekend can be a potential minefield for Championship promotion hopefuls and relegation-haunted strugglers alike, with many-a-team’s prospects lifted or dashed across a hectic three days.
A prime example was In 2022, when Middlesbrough slipped up twice over Easter and went on to miss the play-offs by five points.
During the 2020-21 season, Swansea and Brentford were the victims. Both were hot on Watford's tail with a game in hand, but neither side won nor scored over the Easter period.
Our three-match summary examines the possible outcomes for six teams from all echelons of the Championship table, and looks at how their respective situations can give an insight into betting value.
Blackburn Rovers vs Norwich City
Blackburn Rovers occupy the sixth and final playoff spot at present and they'll have the opportunity to extend their lead over seventh-placed Norwich on Friday.

Verdict
With as many as six teams below them still in the hunt, a victory for Blackburn doesn't guarantee their play-off place, but it would give them a seven-point advantage over Norwich with a game in hand to boot.
Norwich's form has been patchy this season, and their most recent relegation from the Premier League seems a yoyo too far. The Canaries have capitulated at the wrong time, failing to win any of their last four games.
Jon Dahl Tomasson's men have already recorded a pair of victories over Norwich this season, 1-0 in the league and 2-0 in the FA Cup, and that should give them the belief they can keep things tight once again.
One point to kickstart the barbaric Easter weekend in the Championship wouldn't be a disaster for either team, but it's understandable if Norwich City approach this game with caution as their play-off hopes hang by a thread.
Queens Park Rangers vs Preston North End
QPR have been through the managerial mill this season, and with one win in 23, it doesn't get any easier as play-off chasing Preston visit Loftus Road on Friday.

Verdict
It's been a roller coaster ride on and off the pitch for Queens Park Rangers. There was stability in the results under Michael Beale, but the same can't be said for his successor.
Maverick club legend Gareth Ainsworth hasn't improved their fortunes since taking the helm. The R's have lost five of his six games in charge, including a 1-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Wigan on Saturday.
The season has been a much more positive one for Ryan Lowe's Preston North End, but a lack of goals and points in recent away games have seen the Lilywhites slip down the table.
Four of the last five top-six teams to visit Loftus Road have left with all three points having found the net multiple times, and it's worth noting Preston have scored at least two while winning three of their last four.
Rotherham United vs West Bromwich Albion
West Bromwich Albion will be hoping to bounce their way into play-off contention this weekend, but it won't be plain sailing as Rotherham United look to fight off relegation.

Verdict
This will be West Brom's sixth visit to a side in the bottom five of the Championship, and so far they have dropped points at Huddersfield, Cardiff, and Wigan, and have also lost out against Birmingham and Hull.
Conversely, the Millers have saved their best for the visit of the big boys. Overall they've pinched four points off of automatic promotion challengers Sheffield United, and made life difficult for Middlesbrough, Millwall, and Luton, taking a point off each.
West Brom are the clear bookmakers' favourites here and while that stands to reason, you can't ignore how poor their away form has been, failing to win eight of 13, mostly against teams in the bottom third.
Even if Rotherham don't emerge victorious, it's likely they'll find the back of the net. West Brom rarely keep a clean sheet on their travels, and the Millers rarely fail to score at home.
