Suggested bets

Tottenham vs Burnley: Over 2.5 goals

Wimbledon vs Ipswich: Over 2.5 goals

Plymouth Argyle -2 Asian handicap

Bournemouth to beat QPR

Southampton -1.5 Asian handicap

Tottenham Hotspur vs Burnley (Friday 2000 GMT)

Tottenham averages two goals per game at home and they tend to concede.

Burnley’s defensive record against the top five is woeful, but they’ve been finding the net of late.

Even if Vincent Kompany’s side fails to score, there’s half a chance Spurs notch three themselves.

AFC Wimbledon vs Ipswich (Saturday 1230 GMT)

Ipswich went winless in their five games over the congested Christmas and New Year period, so an upset isn’t out of the question, but over 2.5 goals looks the best bet.

There have been over 2.5 goals in four of their last seven away games. On the other hand, Wimbledon games are wild, averaging 4.11 goals per game since September.

Plymouth Argyle vs Sutton United (Saturday 1500 GMT)

Plymouth have scored two or more in each of their last seven at Home Park, notching three goals in five of those outings. They’ll face League Two strugglers Sutton on Saturday.

United have suffered six away defeats where they conceded at least three goals, with the worst of those being an 8-0 loss against Stockport. This could be one-sided.

QPR vs Bournemouth (Saturday 1500 GMT)

Bournemouth will be keen to bounce back from their loss at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium last time out against a QPR side that is winless in seven.

A change of manager has done little to address the issues at Loftus Road with the R’s scoring just twice in that winless run. If Bournemouth are at it, this will be routine.

Southampton vs Walsall (Saturday 1500 GMT)

Russell Martin’s side is the form team in the Championship and they’re starting to look like the favourites to join Leicester in the Premier League.

League Two Walsall are in good form overall but their away form is hit-and-miss and the underlying stats show they’re susceptible to conceding too many chances to survive this tie.
