Transfer Zone: Manchester United's strategy revealed, plus Liverpool eye up Real Madrid star
Beaten to a player by another club? Deny any links and rumours in the first place. At least that appears to be Manchester United's strategy. Plus Liverpool are keen on buying a Real Madrid midfielder.
Manchester United's ego was bruised as they were beaten to yet another player this transfer window. This time it was Porto midfielder Vitinha, who was linked with a move to Old Trafford before ending up signing for Paris Saint-Germain.
Just seen it that Fabrizio said Man Utd have NEVER been interested in Vitinha. This is barely 4 hours after Shrager said "Utd are currently discussing personal terms for Vitinha".

This is why it's hard to believe anything these days.
As for Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp continues to make moves in the window, with Marco Asensio apparently his latest target.

Arsenal fans have really been reduced to believing their club can't bring in a new player without seeing another leave.
Arsenal continue to be linked with Raphinha. It doesn’t make any sense.
